A few things worth asking
From a first puppy visit to keeping a longer coat manageable. Here is what to know before you come.
Arranging a visit
How do I arrange an appointment?+
Use the contact form to tell us about your dog and the treatment you have in mind. We discuss availability with you. Your visit is confirmed once we have agreed it together.
Can I drop in?+
Please contact us first. We work by appointment so we can plan time for each dog.
What should I include in my message?+
Tell us your dog’s size, coat type, last groom and any areas that are difficult to handle. You can also describe the finish you would like.
What if I need to change an appointment?+
Send a message through the contact form as soon as you know. Include the date of the visit.
Choosing the treatment
What does a full groom include?+
A coat check, washing, drying and cutting or clipping to an agreed shape. We also give advice for care at home.
Will undercoat care stop shedding?+
No. It removes loose undercoat that is ready to come away. Natural shedding continues.
Can every wire coat be hand stripped?+
We first check the texture and whether mature hairs release easily. Previous clipping and coat condition can affect the options.
Is a puppy introduction a full groom?+
No. It is usually a 20–30 minute introduction to the salon, gentle handling and tools. A full treatment is planned separately.
Comfort, preparation and cost
My dog finds grooming difficult. Can you help?+
Tell us which parts are worrying and what helped before. We discuss a suitable pace and may suggest shorter visits. We cannot promise that every treatment can be completed in one visit.
What if the coat is tightly matted?+
We check the coat and explain the options. A shorter finish may be more comfortable than prolonged brushing. We agree the approach with you first.
How much will the groom cost?+
Our price list gives starting prices for the stated size and treatment. Coat condition and the work needed affect the final price. We give an indication first and confirm the price after checking the coat.
Should I wash my dog before coming?+
Usually there is no need for a full groom or wash and dry. For hand stripping, ask us before washing just before the visit. A short toilet walk before arrival is useful.

Starting small is fine
